X-Ray Tech Location: Craig, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: CT Technologist, Radiologic Technologist Duration: Full-Time Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: As per schedule Experience: Minimum 0 years License: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program Certifications: ARRT registration in Radiology (R). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer) Must-Have: - Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver's license). - Must be legally authorized to work. - Must successfully pass a background check. - Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable). - Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment. Description: To provide diagnostic imaging services to patients using various imaging modalities. Ensure accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and optimal patient care. Prioritize patient education by explaining procedures and equipment. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures including X-ray and Fluoroscopy. Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols developed with the Radiologist. Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards. Operates equipment consistent with manufacturer's recommendations. Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls for service engineer if maintenance is needed. Verifies exam orders and identifies the patient through two means of identification. Provides exam education to the patient. Reviews and documents the patient's medical history. Obtains required informed consent and ensures all necessary paperwork and prior studies are complete. Maintains accurate patient records in the electronic health record system, including charging for procedures and supplies. May be required to perform other functions within the clinic. Completes any additional training required. Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities and adjusting schedules. Takes on-call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed. Obtains additional training or certification as required. Assists with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required. Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. Orders, stocks, and maintains supply inventory.
