ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Install, maintain, repair, and replace water meters, water and/or sewer lines and related appurtenances
Locates manholes, service connections, valves and other utilities
Assist with the installation/repair of new sewer taps and/or water service lines
Clear debris from manholes, water and sewer lines, sewer stream crossings, easements, valve boxes, etc.
Inspect and evaluate condition of systems; diagnoses leaks, blockages or other problems;
Excavate around water and sewer infrastructure;
Install appropriate repair fittings;
Perform confined space entries into permit required confined spaces as needed;
Gather tools and equipment needed to complete work activities; picks up and transports materials, tools and supplies;
Perform related activities: saw cuts driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and roads during repair;
Assist with the preparation and restoration of landscape, property, and other areas to preconstruction conditions that are disrupted as a result of repair work;
Adhere to established safety procedures: monitors work environment and use of safety equipment to ensure safety of employees, other individuals, equipment, and property;
Flag and directs traffic and places markers, signs and cones around project or work site to ensure safety of crew and the traveling public; and wears personal protective equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

The ability to communicate orally.
Required Experience MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience
High school diploma/General Equivalency Diploma(GED)
1 year of related work experience
LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain the following certifications within six months of hire: Confined Space Entry, Trenching and Excavation, and Flagger.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand and perform strenuous tasks for hours at a time as well as meet physical demand requirements that are at levels of those for active work
Must be able to perform physical labor as well as move or carry related objects or materials
Must be physically able to operate a variety of job related machines
WORK ENVIRONMENT The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment:
100% field environment
Travel between CERM office and various project sites as required
Available for 24-hour on call services during a work shift as needed
