Retail Banker I – Middletown/Route 211 (Bilingual Spanish or Mandarin Preferred)
Location: Middletown, New York, United States
Hours: 40 per week
Pay: $22.50 – $29.00 USD per hour
Job Overview The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison integral to delivering TD’s brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking solutions and needs. This role contributes to business objectives by identifying appropriate TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD.
Responsibilities
Proficient in products, services, and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate customers or refer them to appropriate team members.
Establish and nurture customer relationships by actively listening to needs and engaging in additional conversation.
Make product recommendations and highlight benefits that support customers through challenging situations.
Utilize customer relationship management tools to initiate customer assessments and outbound sales activities.
Independently resolve customer issues; escalating when necessary.
Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advisory activities.
Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake.
Maintain active registration status with NMLS.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
1+ year experience working with customers or sales in any capacity; teller experience preferred.
Must complete teller training upon hire to take customer transactions.
Demonstrated organization, multitasking, and scheduling skills.
Excellent communication skills, concise, clear, consistent.
Sound judgment and effective problem‑solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Notary license (preferred).
