Regional Sales Manager, Key Account Management (KAM) Central US
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager, Key Account Management (KAM) Central US to guide and grow a high‑performing technical sales team within Molecular Devices. Location: Central US (Illinois to Texas) – remote work available.
In This Role
Drive growth & gain market share through effective planning and performance management of account management teams, achieving regional sales targets and company goals.
Represent Molecular Devices and Danaher at industry events and facilitate account manager engagements, promoting commercial partnerships.
Collaborate with internal and cross‑OPCO Danaher teams to develop and support solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Champion sales processes, Danaher Business Systems, and digital tools, providing accurate forecasts and quote approvals.
Drive strategic growth through product development projects and Kaizen events.
Coach new sales leaders and support performance management and career development.
Apply adult learning concepts to support onboarding and upskilling programs with the Commercial Education Manager.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline.
At least 7 years of successful sales experience in life science, drug discovery, biotech, or related industry.
3+ years of managing/mentoring sales team members with a proven ability to build high‑performing, field‑based teams.
Knowledge of adult learning theory, leadership development, and common selling systems.
Strong analytical skills using metrics and KPIs to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
Must reside within the territory, preferably in Chicago or Texas; willing to spend 50% of time in the field.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of Funnel Management, Plate Readers, High Content Imaging, Cellular Automation Workflows, or 3D Biology.
Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) and other comprehensive programs. Remote work arrangements are available.
