Your Next Opportunity The BIM Modeler II is responsible for providing accurate and efficient modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. You will work as part of the production team and deliver high‑quality modeling deliverables under minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do
Perform all tasks of a BIM Modeler I.
Collaborate with the Lead Modeler/Supervisor to develop Revit families for revised standards or project‑specific needs.
Model and document the project efficiently.
Layout and input field details into Revit in accordance with REI standards.
Lead modeling efforts on assigned scopes.
Set up Revit views, view templates, and filters following Rosendin standards.
Document progress of assigned work following project standards.
Adhere to REI confidentiality and non‑disclosure requirements, protecting proprietary company intellectual property.
Additional duties may be assigned based on the business unit’s needs.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
Effective self‑management.
Knowledge of Revit, including creating and manipulating views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar.
Ability to translate verbal and written direction into constructable design documents.
Ability to follow REI BIM processes, procedures, and standards.
Ability to read 2D plans, including one‑lines, lighting schedules, panel schedules, and feeder schedules.
Knowledge of industry standard software such as BlueBeam, Autodesk Cloud products, and NavisWorks.
Ability to import documents (spreadsheets, photos, images, word processing files) into Revit projects.
Type, proofread, spell‑check work without supervision.
Understanding of working within Revit work‑sharing environments.
Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, responding to changing priorities.
Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Strong, solutions‑oriented oral and written communication skills.
Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff.
What You Bring To Us
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a computerized drafting field preferred.
Minimum two years total experience with knowledge of electrical symbols and drafting conventions and standards.
A combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Working Conditions
General work environment involves sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending; primarily indoors with fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
Noise level is usually low to medium, but may be loud on a jobsite.
