Assembly Equipment Maintenance Group Leader
TRC's partner, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant has a direct hire opportunity for an Assembly Equipment Maintenance Group Leader to join their team at their largest EV plant, located just outside Savannah, GA. The Assembly Equipment Maintenance Group Leader will: Lead, coordinate, and coach General Assembly (GA) Maintenance Team Members as a first-line supervisor to achieve departmental goals related to preventive maintenance (PM), downtime reduction, and skill development. Support assigned shift rotations based on HMGMA production and sales plans, including 3-shift or 4-crew/2-shift rotations, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as required. Execute, track, and report maintenance activities including troubleshooting, PM execution, and special assignments. Provide urgent equipment support during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies during all maintenance activities. Manage daily PM execution using the PM system, including manpower planning, quality, and results tracking to maintain stable equipment operation. Lead breakdown response, root cause analysis, and reporting to improve MTTR and MTBF performance. Oversee spare parts management, Teamcenter documentation, and training room organization. Support team training, skills development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Review, approve, and report team member improvement ideas to resolve equipment and process issues. Partner closely with Assistant Managers and leadership to resolve conflicts, support team member concerns, and promote a collaborative work environment. Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Perform additional duties as assigned, including responsibilities outside the regular scope of work when required. What You Will Bring to the Role: 6+ years of maintenance experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment. Proven leadership experience managing teams of 8+ members, at minimum in a team lead or group leader capacity. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including PLCs, power circuits, inverters, and motors. Technical college degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on manufacturing experience (e.g., certified apprenticeship). Prior GA Maintenance experience within major automotive manufacturing operations. Hands‑on experience maintaining robotic and AGV systems (Kawasaki and Fanuc). Test line equipment maintenance experience (Fori, A&G, BEP, or similar systems). Rockwell PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting expertise.
