The Driver License section provides Colorado credentials, including driver licenses, instruction permits, commercial driver licenses, and identification cards. DMV Advisor/Greeter Role
This position will work at the front reception desk, greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate services. The role aims to streamline office services, address customer concerns, and reduce transaction and wait times for customer-facing offices. The primary duties involve welcoming and advising customers at the Colorado Springs DMV office, establishing the beginning of the customer experience for that office. Responsibilities
Acts as the gatekeeper for the office to ensure the smooth workflow for the employees and customers Establishes and maintains constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with DMV employees and customers Assists customers with use of the appointment kiosk, website, online portal or other DMV convenience service offerings Checks customers in for appointments and any other DMV interactions at the office Works with walk in customers to assist and provide the best customer experience possible Organizes the customer workflow for the office Conducts vision testing as needed The DMV Advisor will also provide administrative support to the functioning of the Driver License office including: Contacting customers as needed Reviewing source documents and other information to ensure the customer is ready to meet with the appropriate technician Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Assisting with other office support including stocking and cleaning the greeter/advisor station Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : One (1) year of Customer Service or Receptionist experience or other relevant work experience, or a combination of related education and/or relevant Customer Service or Receptionist experience equal to one year. As a condition of employment, all personnel must file necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax returns and undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records. Final candidates must complete a successful background investigation and reference check. Some positions may require scheduled background investigations. Any worker who will drive a State-owned vehicle must maintain a safe driving record and valid driver license. MVRs may be reviewed for those with a fleet vehicle assignment or who operate a vehicle as part of the job.
