Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion, you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00–$15.00 depending on your skills and experience.

Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours are between 10–15 hours per week.

Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Utilization of technology is critical for reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.

Holiday support: During peak seasonal demand, expect additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, including weekends.

Department resets: Join a team to install and relocate Hallmark fixtures, moving card departments and products. Advance notice of approximately two weeks is provided. Work may include evenings or weekends.

Team support: Collaborate with fellow merchandisers to support each other across territories.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing are required, and you may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Capability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Proficiency in operating a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting information.

Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.

Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
