Prestige Beauty Advisor – Ulta Beauty
Join us to maximize sales in the prestige category by engaging guests and providing exceptional service. This role supports the Sales Manager in performance, people, and process areas while maintaining store standards.
Key Responsibilities
Meet or exceed retail and service sales goals, focusing on prestige products and iconic brands.
Provide personalized guest service, greeting and engaging each guest, recommending products, informing about promotions and events.
Handle sales, refunds and exchanges courteously.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis and product demonstrations to drive sales.
Book appointments and support services/events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
Stay informed on industry trends, new products and their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
Participate in ongoing training and brand/category education.
Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, dress code and hygiene standards.
Replenish and display prestige and iconic brand merchandise.
Maintain store operational standards – cleanliness, backroom, restrooms, break area.
Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays and inventory procedures.
Share guest loyalty program benefits, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Follow loss prevention practices and protect company assets.
Execute additional operational tasks as directed.
Qualifications Education
High‑school diploma preferred.
Cosmetology, esthetician or demonstrator’s license where required by state law.
Experience
1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Skills
Demonstrated passion and competency for prestige products and guest service.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Special Position Requirements
Flexible schedule: days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
Attend corporate meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
Working Conditions
Frequent mobility throughout the store.
Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting.
Continuous lifting/moving up to 10 lbs.
Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $15.92–$21.00 per hour, based on education, experience, location and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime pay. Full‑time positions qualify for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part‑time positions qualify for dental, vision, life and disability benefits.
