About the Role The Carrier Account Executive reports to a Sr. Carrier Account Director and plays a vital role in supporting the sourcing and development of carrier relationships. The position focuses on tactical execution—working closely with internal teams to ensure timely booking, carrier vetting, tracking compliance, and maintaining cost‑effective transportation solutions. This role assists with communication and day‑to‑day operational tasks, supporting the team’s assigned carrier book of business. It is a non‑exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.
Primary Responsibilities
Support Carrier Account Managers and Directors by identifying and sourcing qualified carriers for available freight opportunities.
Assist in executing carrier compliance checks and vetting procedures.
Maintain strong communication with carriers to ensure load visibility and timely tracking updates.
Perform data entry, reporting, and carrier updates within the TMS.
Assist with coverage of urgent, assigned shipments.
Coordinate with internal operations, logistics, and tracking teams to resolve carrier‑related issues.
Proactively flag service issues, support escalation and issue resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; previous sales or customer service experience desirable.
Logistics industry knowledge preferred.
Proven track record of successful customer support in a fast‑paced environment.
Skills
Clear and professional communication (verbal and written).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self‑motivated, responsive, and adaptable under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and accuracy.
Collaborative team mindset with a problem‑solving orientation.
Additional Information
This is a non‑exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.
Onsite 5 days a week – Tampa, Florida.
