Sales Assistant Manager (Mandarin or Cantonese Bilingual)

A Japanese food trading company is seeking a Sales Assistant Manager. This role involves meeting sales quotas, organizing workflow, supporting and motivating the sales team, and ensuring data entry and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

Meet the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by the manager Organize workflow and ensure that sales team understand their duties and delegated tasks Assist the Branch Manager in leading, supporting, and motivating sales team to achieve the overall corporate sales objectives Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support Train and coach the sales team by providing constructive feedback and monitoring employee productivity Ensure the sales team to collect payment and perform data entry task in a timely manner, whereas maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction at the same time Ensure that all employees adhere to Company policies and procedures Visit customers and potential customers to provide support, information, and sell the Company’s products Cooperate with accounting department to ensure the invoice payment is received in time Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them Input and update orders within the Company database accordingly Maintain and safely operate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy Participate in the weekly sales meetings Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours Other duties as required from manager Obligation to answer to all management as requested Qualifications

Ability to drive for the majority of the daily working hours Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally Business level in English Reading, writing, speaking, and listening Business level in Japanese reading/speaking/listening/writing required Business level Chinese is a plus To have and maintain a clean driving record in the latest 3 years Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree and above preferred 2-3 years of relevant experience required. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc. Time and priority management skills Basic Microsoft Office proficiency Communications and interpersonal skills Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes preferred Location : HOUSTON, TX Hours : M-F 8:00-18:00 Compensation : $55,000 – $65,000 per year Seniority level : Mid-Senior level Employment type : Full-time Job function : Sales and Management
