We are collaborating with leading companies in Ludington seeking Tool Makers to lead and enhance their operations. The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Ludington seeking Tool Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities

Design, fabricate, and modify precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines. Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine specifications. Perform precision measurements using metrology equipment like micrometers, calipers, and CMMs to ensure accuracy. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing production tooling to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tooling applications to ensure durability and functionality. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop effective tooling solutions and improve manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tool Maker or in a similar precision machining role. Proficiency in operating manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders) and/or CNC machinery. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols. Demonstrated knowledge of various tool steels, heat treatment processes, and precision measurement techniques using tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Completion of an accredited Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training/certification. Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming. Proficiency in advanced metrology and inspection techniques, including CMM operation. Demonstrated experience with welding and fabrication processes for tool repair and modification. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
