Collections Specialist
As a Collections Specialist, you will communicate with consumers via phone and approved written correspondence to resolve unpaid accounts. You will provide thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to account files for each interaction while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the collections industry. The role requires demonstrating strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment and performing additional duties as assigned by management. Responsibilities: Communicate with consumers via phone and approved written correspondence to resolve unpaid accounts. Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to account files for each interaction. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the collections industry. Demonstrate strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Essential Skills: Customer service experience Call center experience Data entry proficiency Ability to handle numerous inbound calls Comfortability speaking on the phone Collection and collections customer service experience Additional Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to type and speak simultaneously Strong attention to confidentiality and data protection Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasked, team-oriented environment Strong organizational and prioritization skills Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules English required; bilingual candidates preferred Work Environment: You will be working 5 days in the office with hours from 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-4pm on Friday. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, MD. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
