Specialty Account Manager – Nephrology – UT, ID, WY, MT (Rare Disease) We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Account Manager to represent Amgen's nephrology products in the territories of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, provide disease education, and manage territory sales to improve patient care.

What You Will Do

Consistently achieve assigned sales objectives through the promotion of patient‑centered disease and product education.

Implement the marketing plan by executing a strategic account business plan.

Work effectively in a matrix environment, collaborating with case managers, medical affairs, patient access, and other partners.

Utilize all available resources and programs—including peer‑to‑peer education—to address knowledge gaps.

Identify opportunities across the healthcare landscape, including academic institutions, IDNs, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospitals.

Build productive relationships with key local, regional, and national KOLs within the geographical coverage area and assigned therapeutic areas.

Maintain high‑level, in‑depth disease and therapeutic knowledge.

Apply a consultative, solution‑oriented selling approach tailored to healthcare professionals and rare disease patients.

Adhere to compliance and corporate policies, ensuring appropriate documentation and reporting.

What We Expect Of You Basic Qualifications

Doctorate with 2 years of collective account‑management experience, sales, and commercial experience; or

Masters with 6 years of collective account‑management experience, sales, and commercial experience; or

Bachelor's with 8 years of collective account‑management experience, sales, and commercial experience; or

Associate with 10 years of collective account‑management experience, sales, and commercial experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; graduate business or healthcare related degree preferred.

7+ years in biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, or rare disease sales.

3+ years in rare disease/orphan drug experience, ultra‑orphan preferred, and rare disease launch experience strongly preferred.

Nephrology experience preferred.

At least 3 years of in‑office injection/infusion sales with extensive patient access coordination.

Experience operating in a matrix selling environment with patient services, market access, medical affairs, and reimbursement focus on patient centricity.

Market development experience in rare, unmet spaces preferred.

Track record of educating HCPs about complex diseases with diverse patient profiles.

Documented success delivering consistent, exceptional performance.

Independent, high‑energy work in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Professional, proactive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

Requires approximately 20‑30% travel, including overnight and weekend commitments.

What You Can Expect Of Us The expected annual salary range is $154,126.00 to $183,750.00.
