Controls Sales Engineer
to expand its controls presence across
Central and Northern New Jersey . This is a high-impact, sole-sales role offering a competitive commission plan, hybrid work flexibility, and a company vehicle. You’ll represent industry-leading automation solutions backed by a trusted and experienced technical team.

Title:
Controls Sales Engineer
Location:
Metuchen, NJ (Territory: Central & Northern New Jersey)
Status:
Full-Time | Hybrid (1 in-office day per week after ramp-up)
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in Controls Sales, Sales Engineering, or BAS/HVAC controls account management
Proven ability to generate new business while maintaining an established customer base
Comfortable preparing estimates, proposals, and project contracts
Experience interacting with contractors, engineering firms, and end users
Skilled at presenting technical solutions and closing project-based opportunities
Strong communication and customer relationship-building skills
Key Responsibilities:
Grow sales of building automation systems and controls products throughout the assigned territory
Develop new customer relationships and nurture long-term accounts
Respond to RFPs and bid packages for retrofit, service, and new construction projects
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate scopes and competitive pricing
Conduct client site visits, validate project details, and support alignment with specifications
Represent ICC at trade shows, industry events, and customer presentations
