The Volunteer Manager plays a vital role in coordinating and overseeing the volunteer program at Embrace Center. This position involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure they have a rewarding experience while contributing meaningfully to our mission. You’ll be the primary point of contact for volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
Organize orientation and training sessions to prepare volunteers for various roles.
Match volunteers with opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and availability.
Provide ongoing support, recognition, and feedback to volunteers to ensure their success.
Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, participation, and feedback.
Collaborate with program staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
Plan volunteer appreciation events and activities to recognize their contributions.
Ensure that all volunteer activities comply with organizational policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
Proficiency in using volunteer management software or databases is a plus.
