MVT Logistics MVT Logistics is hiring an Account Manager (Remote), looking for a candiate in EST Time Zone! As a top 100 Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider and a subsidiary of Mesilla Valley Transportation we pride ourselves on our reputation and industry standing. As an Account Manager, you manage transportation needs of specific customers and grow those customers as business needs change and evolve. Duties and Responsibilities Liaise regularly with National Sales and Operations to ensure smooth day-to-day handling of high impact customer accounts. Maintain consistent communication with assigned account customers to ensure timely delivery of shipments. Utilize a variety of systems as well as email and phone communication to set appointments for shipments that adhere to customer needs as well as allowing carriers to operate within legal limits. Utilize a variety of tools at your disposal to provide accurate quotes on Truckload, Partial, LTL, and other shipment types to assigned account customers while maintaining profitability for company. Schedule and conduct meetings with key customer personnel to explore avenues of increasing MVT share of customer freight. Conduct frequent meetings with Operations and National Sales staff to highlight areas of opportunity and areas of improvement on a customer-by-customer basis. Utilize internal TMS systems to accurately track, manage, and facilitate shipments for both customers and carriers. Qualifications and Skills Two or more years’ experience working in a Brokerage environment. Proficient in building proposals, negotiating rates, and delivering both long and short-term shipping solutions to customers. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Effective communication skills, collaboration, problem-solving, and building professional relationships with carriers, shippers, and internal/external customers. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Thorough understanding of the Transportation and Logistics industry. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Highly organized and detail oriented.
