The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency, focusing on servicing customers in line with Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, building ongoing client relationships, and leaving a lasting, positive impression.

Responsibilities

Sales Floor Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions aligning with company priorities. Takes ownership and delivers results while staying aware of personal and store metrics; creates personal sales and clienteling strategies in partnership with management; develops short- and long-term plans to achieve metrics and performance goals. Takes ownership of personal survey results and creates improvement plans. Represents Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrates Coach’s Selling and Service expectations. Understands changes in local market and supports execution of local sales strategies and tactics. Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining ongoing relationships. Represents Coach with attire aligned to Coach’s Style Guide; builds credibility as a personal fashion advisor with knowledge of competitors and fashion trends. Provides in-depth product knowledge (features, benefits, current offerings, and overall value) and communicates current pricing and promotions. Discusses product features and builds sales through cross-selling; encourages add-ons relevant to customer needs. Reads customer cues and tailors approaches to individual needs; attends to multiple customers and follows up to influence/close sales. Maintains a positive, team-oriented environment, supports a team selling approach, and remains adaptable to changing store needs. Fosters a calm, professional demeanor and seeks feedback for continuous improvement.

Operations Completes daily operational tasks without impacting service or Coach standards; maintains store, cash wrap, and visual merchandising to Coach standards. Maintains a clean selling floor; adheres to POS, Operations, and Asset Protection procedures; replenishes inventory on the sales floor as needed. Supports store inventory processes, processes shipments, stocks shelves, and maintains organization in stockroom and on the floor. Assists with cash wrap as needed and processes purchases, returns, and exchanges; prepares store areas and maintains visual merchandising expectations.

Additional Requirements Experience: 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in luxury retail; knowledge of fashion trends and competition. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Technical: Knowledge of cashier systems, basic computer skills (iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, Internet), walkie talkies; ability to read price and release sheets. Physical: Fast-paced performance; ability to communicate effectively; ability to maneuver the floor and stockroom; ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for shipments/transfers. Schedule: Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays with high retail traffic periods as required.

Work Setup BASE PAY RANGE: $15.00 to $19.00
