FAR Inspections is seeking a
Mortgage Field Services Inspector
to conduct residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.
Based in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years. This role is an independent contractor (1099) with a flat‑rate payment structure.
Responsibilities
Complete exterior inspections, typically 5-6 minutes each.
Complete inspections within 4 days of assignment.
Determine occupancy status and report general property conditions using a mobile application.
Capture 9+ photos with brief comments.
Complete a short digital form.
Drive frequently across the assigned county, spending extended periods on the road.
Requirements
Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage.
Computer with internet connection.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Valid driver’s license passed standard background check.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection is paid at a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Per inspection, income equates to approximately $30‑$40 per hour. Typical workload is 20‑500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week, with higher pay in lower‑volume counties.
No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
