We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
Diesel Mechanic
with strong experience in engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions components who takes pride in reliability and quality workmanship. Experience with John Deere, CAT and Komatsu dozers, excavators, etc..
Responsibilities
Complete all service reports and submit on timely basis
Perform cleanup at end of day or when job is completed, including cleaning tools and putting tools in proper storage
Proactively communicate with Equipment Manager concerning equipment and job-related projects
Inspect and ensure safety devices are functional – such as back up alarms, fire extinguishers, seat belts, horns, etc.
Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment
Work more than 40 hours per week and overtime including some weekends
Follow approved maintenance standards and techniques
Inventory supplies
Required Skills
Valid Driver's license and be local
Experience working with Kenworth, Transport Trailers, Peterbilt, Freight, Dump Trucks. etc.
Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb
Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
At least 2 to 5 years’ experience as a mechanic working on commercial trucks.
