60 year old site and utility contractor in Tampa is now hiring a shop mechanic for our maintenance and repair team. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs or more
Must be able to walk, stand and climb frequently throughout the day
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with preventive maintenance and timely repair of equipment that breaks down
Complete all service reports and submit on timely basis
Perform cleanup at end of day or when job is completed, including cleaning tools and putting tools in proper storage
Proactively communicate with Equipment Manager concerning equipment and job-related projects
Inspect and ensure safety devices are functional – such as back up alarms, fire extinguishers, seat belts, horns, etc.
Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment
Work more than 40 hours per week and overtime including some weekends
Looking for a self-driven individual
Possesses their own tools
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mechanic.
Experience working with Komatsu, John Deere, and Cat equipment
Experience with a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
Be able to trouble shoot and repair electrical problems
Be familiar with and able to work on emissions, such as DPF and DEF system.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits:
