Job Description

Looking for a highly motivated individual to help us succeed in any domain against any challenge for a safer more connected world.

As an Assembly Operator, your job will be to build next generation technology for the warfighter. You will perform a variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment.

Duties for this position includes working in a cleanroom environment, performing mechanical assembly using various tools and fasteners.

Types of hardware include

Machined housings

Circuit cards

Mirrors, motors, and optical assemblies.

Will be using chemicals and performing detailed hand manipulation with wire sleeving, solder, and bonding materials.

Additionally, the operator will be required to use precision torque tools, solder, repair and/or inspect electric and mechanical systems.

This position also requires the operator to pass certifications and to work limited overtime when needed. The operator is expected to cross‑train for other areas and be engaged with daily production activities that drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and schedule performance. a variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment.

Required Skill Sets

Minimum of 2 years of work experience

Experience working with minimal supervision

Self‑Motivated

Ability to read, understand and follow test instructions including technical drawings and testing process documents

The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for 8+ hours a day is required

Ability to work weekends and/or overtime as required

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

US Citizenship is required

Desired Skill Sets

Ability to train others in assembly processes once certified

Experience using shop floor management software (CMES, SAP, etc.) or similar

Education Level Required: High school, secondary school or equivalent

Technical certificate or Associates degree is preferred

Physical Demands

Walking:

Frequent walking throughout the shift to move between workstations, cleanroom areas, and production lines.

Standing:

Extended periods of standing (up to 8+ hours per day) while performing assembly and inspection tasks.

Manual Dexterity:

Regular use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly work, including soldering, wire sleeving, bonding, and handling small components.

Lifting/Carrying:

Occasional lifting and carrying of parts, tools, and assemblies (light to moderate weight).

Repetitive Motions:

Frequent use of precision torque tools and other hand tools requiring repetitive hand and arm movements.

Visual Focus:

Close visual attention required for inspecting electrical and mechanical systems, reading technical drawings, and working with small components.

PPE Use:

Continuous use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for the duration of the shift.

Mobility:

Ability to bend, reach, and move safely within a cleanroom environment.

Work Pace:

Ability to sustain productivity in a fast‑paced environment, including limited overtime and weekend work when required.
