**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team at Payne Chevrolet Buick GMC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Certification from an accredited automotive technical school or equivalent experience. - Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. - Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail.
**Responsibilities:** - Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on customer vehicles. - Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues. - Inspect vehicles and provide accurate estimates for repairs. - Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle needs. - Keep work area clean and organized. - Stay current with technological changes in the automotive industry.
**Additional Requirements:** - ASE certification preferred. - Prior experience working in an automotive repair shop. - Willingness to continue training and education in automotive technology. - Ability to lift and move heavy equipment. - Excellent customer service skills. - Strong communication skills and a team player mentality. Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 consecutive years Must have or be able to get a Texas driver's license Must have a clean driving record
