Job Summary Quarry Oaks Golf Club is looking for a self-motivated, hard working, and reliable individuals to join our team! The position helps mows grounds and performs maintenance and landscaping projects of a public golf course. Must by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. This position is part-time seasonal; typically 20-40 hours per week during golf season, morning shifts between 6 AM-11 AM available! Reliable attendance required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs regular grounds and landscape maintenance by mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, sidewalks and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flower beds and other grounds by hand or utilizing proper tools and equipment; and setting up, adjusting, repairing, and cleaning irrigation systems. Maintains grounds maintenance equipment to be operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and machines within reasonable capabilities. Also sharpens tools, such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears. Properly and safely wear prescribed safety protective clothing, masks, and/or rubber gloves and boots according to department standards and working conditions. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience: Previous knowledge or experience with basic lawn maintenance and/or landscape maintenance Licenses: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to work site. Other Qualifications: Must have basic knowledge of lawn maintenance. Must be able to operate a rough rotary riding mower and a machine-driven push lawn mower. Must have ability to perform strenuous work under varying weather conditions. Must be able to work the flexible work schedule required on a golf course to prepare for events and weather conditions. Must be able to lift, move, and/or carry up to 25 pounds. Other Skills and Abilities: Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, and customers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Condition of Employment Candidate is required to meet the above qualifications.
