Part-Time Receptionist (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors is a nonprofit law office providing free or low cost legal representation to immigrants seeking humanitarian relief, educates the public about immigration, and advocates for the rights and dignity of immigrants. Located in Nashville, this office has represented thousands of immigrants since its founding in 2008.
The Part-Time Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community members. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish —speaking, reading, and writing—and demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and strong organizational skills. This position is vital to ensuring that our office operates smoothly and that clients receive a welcoming and respectful experience, particularly as clients served at TNJFON are survivors of violence and persecution. The part-time receptionist will work closely with all members of the legal team and operations team. An ideal candidate must be compassionate and have excellent communication skills. Experience working in a law firm is helpful, but not required. This is an in-person position.
Job Responsibilities
Greet clients, visitors, and community members warmly and professionally. Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence. Assist with administrative tasks, including mail processing and scheduling Provide translation and interpretation assistance as needed between English and Spanish. Ensure the reception area is clean, welcoming, and well-stocked. Qualifications
Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing). High School diploma or GED equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse client base. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload. Previous reception or administrative experience preferred, but not required. Commitment to the mission of providing legal services to underserved communities. Additional Information
