Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to develop broad gauged individuals who can deal effectively with change complexity within the Air Force environment as it relates to the Manpower and Organization career field. Provides input to assist in managing DoD and Air Force productivity, awards, and recognition programs. As an advanced trainee, assists senior technicians in planning, developing, and conducting organizational structure, workforce staffing/utilization, and/or space utilization studies to improve and simplify processes and maximize resource utilization. Assist senior analysts in providing guidance in managing the Performance Management Program. Assists in conducting work measurement, methods and procedures, manpower requirements utilization, and/or engineered time standard studies. Assists in conducting competitive sourcing studies, management surveys and/or research projects. Assists in performing internal management support services in the areas of program cost monitoring, annual fiscal planning and development of annual work plan(s) for organizations of limited scope. Qualifications
These positions are being filled under Direct-Hire Authority for the DoD for Post-Secondary Students and Recent Graduates, located Air Force-wide; pay varies by geographic location. To qualify for GS-07: Completion of 1 full year of graduate level education, or bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA), or 1 year specialized experience equivalent to GS-5; or other qualifying combinations as specified in the original public notice. You must have completed a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and must have documented SAA in one of the following: class standing (upper third), GPA thresholds, or membership in a national honor society (with documentation). Education must be accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting organization. Foreign education may be considered if the credentials are deemed equivalent to U.S. standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) include: management engineering principles, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, conducting interviews, effective communication, and computer proficiency.
