Job Description
Economy Transportation and Logistics is searching for a safety-oriented Hazmat Class A Regional Driver to support our Hazmat / Chemical Transportation activities on a regional basis.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure smooth, on‑time delivery processes.
Secure transportation and delivery of various cargo types, focusing on hazardous materials.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, OSHA, industry‑specific standards).
Enforce best practices for handling and transporting specialty chemicals.
Lead efforts within the operations to maintain DOT and safety compliance.
Equipment Management
Oversee equipment operation, ensuring proper inspections before, during, and after trips.
Ensure operators meet necessary qualifications and safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements.
TWIC Card.
Experience
2 years of recent experience driving a tractor‑trailer, chemical tanker, and/or other relevant vehicles.
Ability to operate a 10‑speed manual transmission.
Age & Health Requirements
At least 23 years old.
Must pass a DOT Physical.
Driving Record
No MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) violations in the past 3 years.
No major accidents.
No DUI/DWI offenses.
Work Schedule
70 hours per week or as close to that as possible with a 34‑hour rest period.
On‑call based on load availabilities.
Location
Vehicles will be day cabs. Candidates must live within a 25‑mile radius of Port Lavaca, TX and commute to our yard for pick‑up of day cabs in Port Lavaca, TX.
