Job Summary This is a 19.5 hours per week maximum, part-time student position. This position requires employees who are able to positively represent this Office and the College to various internal and external constituents with a positive and professional demeanor at all times. The student employee must have effective writing, verbal communication, and Microsoft Office skills. Student employees must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information. The student may serve as the first point of contact for the office, perform clerical duties, and assist with special projects. The student assistant will deliver incoming and outgoing campus mail and packages daily and assist in filling Central Stores orders. Other responsibilities include typing, filing, shredding and sorting campus mail. The student assistant will maintain the cleanliness of the mailroom and Central Stores areas, run errands and may perform other duties as assigned. The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student's class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.

Responsibilities

Deliver incoming and outgoing mail

Assist in filling Central Store orders

Clean and maintain the mailroom and Central Store areas

Perform clerical duties

Run errands at the discretion of the supervisor

Assist with special projects

Perform any related work as required

Educational Requirements

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at all times

Other Required Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle background check

Must be able to drive a vehicle

Must be able to lift 55 pounds

May not be employed in more than one job at a time on campus

Compensation Proposed Salary: $9.00 per hour
