Summary Crestron Electronics is seeking a forward-thinking, dynamic
Senior Packaging Engineer
to develop innovative and sustainable shipping packaging solutions for our diverse product portfolio. This role is instrumental in supporting new product launches, meeting cost and performance targets, and advancing our sustainability initiatives.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to design packaging that meets rigorous testing standards while aligning with Crestron’s environmental goals. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of packaging at Crestron through strategic planning, hands‑on engineering, and market research.
Responsibilities
Design and develop cost‑effective, high‑performance packaging solutions for a wide range of electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support new product launches and packaging strategies.
Lead sustainability initiatives by researching emerging materials and technologies, developing strategic roadmaps, and contributing to the company’s annual sustainability report.
Generate and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including mechanical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities in packaging design and materials without compromising product integrity.
Stay current with industry trends, materials innovation, and regulatory requirements to ensure Crestron remains at the forefront of packaging technology.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and broader organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in packaging engineering, packaging science or mechanical engineering with an emphasis on ship packaging or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in ship packaging solutions for electronic products.
CAD experience required (Creo preferred).
Adobe Illustrator skills required or ability to learn quickly on the job.
Ability to creatively solve problems using sustainable materials.
Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($91,000 - $148,500) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
