We’re seeking an organized and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team to support our financial operations, focusing on rental property accounting and reporting.
Job Summary The Accounting & Billing Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring accuracy in our financial transactions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting, preferably in the real estate or property management sector.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements, tenant payments, and property expenses.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Process invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Assist with tenant billing, including rent, utilities, and other charges, and monitor payment status.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain detailed records of property expenses and budgets, assisting with financial analysis and reporting.
Work closely with the accounting team to streamline and improve financial processes.
Communicate with tenants regarding payment inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or property management.
Proficiency in accounting software (experience with DoorLoop and QuickBooks is a plus).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
