Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess high school diploma Extensive experience with the game of golf Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 certification First Aid and CPR certified Must be able to coordinate and teach golf curriculum to build a competitive varsity golf program Strong personal and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
Preferences:
Successful past coaching experience Experience or willingness to organize and assist with home meets at the high school level Possess knowledge of the MHSAA rules and regulations Willing to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body Possess the ability to motivate players and coaches to work toward program and philosophy goals
Job Description:
Coordinate in-season and out-of-season practice and conditioning opportunities for grades 9-12 Develop program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 9-12 Develop cohesive coaching relationships that work to develop all players from grades 9-12 Teach and instruct the game of golf, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes Provide coaching, encouragement, and guidance to all athletes in the program
