Join Sam's Club as a Tire and Battery Service Advisor to provide expert product and service recommendations, ensuring member satisfaction and safe, efficient operations in the Tire and Battery Center (TBC).
Base pay range $19.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Responsibilities
Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards by conducting regular safety sweeps, adhering to forklift and hazardous material handling requirements, and reporting unsafe situations.
Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
Present and maintain merchandise by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, and signing and pricing merchandise.
Monitor tire and battery order status daily, assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead‑time changes, and propose alternatives.
Provide expert member service by greeting members, identifying needs, recommending products, explaining warranties, and resolving concerns.
Drive sales and service excellence by communicating product and service value and collaborating with club associates to promote TBC offerings.
Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays using Sam’s Garage, understanding service time requirements, and re‑prioritizing as needed.
Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, Point‑of‑Sale systems, and selling techniques.
Leverage digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve service experience, make real‑time decisions, and encourage tool adoption among team members.
Serve as a brand advocate, model high quality service, develop and influence team members, and assist in their training.
Complete vehicle service requests, tests, and documentation while operating TBC equipment safely, handling payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges appropriately.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards, including the Open Door Policy and related action plans.
Prioritize work assignments using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co‑workers, and stakeholders, and recommending improvement opportunities.
Promote diversity, belonging, teamwork, integrity, and customer focus in all interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
Auto service industry or retail experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
18 years of age or older.
