Acrisure invites applicants for the
Placement Specialist
position located in Augusta, GA with a salary range of $45,000.00-$50,000.00.
Scope The individual in this role will manage and execute key components of new business and renewal processes for insurance accounts, overseeing timelines, conducting exposure analysis, preparing quote specifications, negotiating coverage terms, and presenting comprehensive proposals to clients. The role requires close collaboration with Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, and carrier partners.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain timelines and processes during new business and renewal cycles, including exposure analysis, quote specifications, negotiation of coverage offers, and presentation of coverage proposals.
Communicate effectively within the team, including Client Advisors and Account Service Team.
Review insurance policies and contracts and recommend improvements.
Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions, including specifications, Acord applications, loss summaries, prospect profiles, and exposure schedules.
Analyze Excel spreadsheets of client exposure and loss data; develop financial models for loss‑sensitive programs when needed.
Handle carrier communications and maintain relationships with insurance companies and wholesalers.
Maintain confidentiality of non‑routine information.
Rate policies in carrier systems to assist quoting and proposal development.
Abide by licensing requirements and pursue continuing education.
Attend seminars, meetings, carrier events and other educational activities to improve expertise and product knowledge.
Perform coverage gap analysis and deliver strategic coverage recommendations tailored to each client’s risk profile.
Work independently and within a team on special projects.
Engage Risk Resources for specialized expertise on complex client needs.
Essential Qualifications
3‑5 years of insurance experience with emphasis on middle‑to‑large market placements.
Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Can work with minimal supervision and accept direction on assignments.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word) and placement software; high knowledge of Excel and Word.
Experience with Epic is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail ensuring document accuracy.
Effective team player with strong customer service skills.
Experience marketing large middle‑market accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of the markets.
Strong knowledge of all basic applicable insurance coverages.
Proficient in creating proposal presentation documents.
College degree preferred.
Must currently hold an applicable insurance license.
Pursuit of a professional designation (CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU) is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross‑functional partnership.
