Join the Underground Storage (UGS) team at WSP and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. WSP is initiating a search for a Business Development/ Client Relationship role for our Houston, TX office. The following location will also be considered: Baton Rouge, LA. The UGS team supports clients with subsurface geological and engineering needs for the design, development, maintenance, and operations of underground storage facilities, including salt caverns, depleted reservoirs, and disposal wells. Generate leads and develop relationships with new clients Bring in business from new clients Interact with existing clients and maintain relationships Increase revenue from existing clients Make client visits, including lunches and/or dinners Coordinate business development efforts with UGS project teams Assist with proposal preparations Review bid packages and negotiate discounts Build relationships with vendors Give presentations to clients Attend bid walks and project kickoff meetings Conduct post-project completion follow-up calls Attend conferences Make field visits to WSP project sites Pitch business development ideas and strategies to the leadership team Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years of direct business development experience in lieu of degree 10+ years of business development or sales experience Excellent computer knowledge for communication and document preparation Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Strong presentation skills Extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry Understanding of production or injection well technology Must be self-motivated and a team player Experience with technical writing and developing proposals Familiarity with cost estimation and schedule development Travel is expected Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies This role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. Employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the policy will be provided during onboarding and is available upon request Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of salt caverns, gas storage and disposal wells Familiarity with clients, consultants and suppliers for the underground storage industry Experience with preparing cost proposals for injection and storage well construction and maintenance Prior consulting experience Written technical papers and presentations at conferences Benefits and Compensation

WSP provides a comprehensive benefits package focused on health and financial stability, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, retirement savings, paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid parental leave, and paid time off for bereavement, voting, and naturalization proceedings. Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $122,700 - $185,000. WSP reserves the right to adjust compensation based on education, experience, and location. About WSP
