Tax- Business Tax Services – Private Tax Partnerships- Manager The opportunity: EY Private Tax is a growing practice within the organization with a dedicated focus toward serving privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies. These high-growth private companies may be in start-up stages or multi-billion-dollar global entities. You’ll work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, with ample support and training from knowledgeable colleagues and opportunities to progress to senior manager. Your Key Responsibilities
Support senior managers through partners in providing tax services. Balance time between compliance and planning, focusing on and interacting directly with clients. Work with clients with a heavy focus on flow-through entities (i.e., partnerships). Develop into a trusted advisor and role model across multiple teams, building a diverse network of collaborative colleagues. Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross-border tax compliance. Provide tax research, tax memoranda drafting, and assistance in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers. Liaise with other service lines and subject matter professionals. Build long-term relationships with clients and tailor services to their needs. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain professional knowledge and share best practices. Manage, coach and develop a team of tax professionals, review work, and ensure team members have the tools and opportunities to excel. Identify and react to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Skills And Attributes For Success
To qualify for the role, you must have: A bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by tax, business or financial planning experience. A CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization. Working in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed. Ideally, you will have: A commitment to continuing your learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus. Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. What We Look For

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $106,500 to $195,100 (locations vary); NYC Metro Area, Washington State and California ranges are $127,700 to $221,700. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off options. Hybrid work model: most client-serving roles expected to work in person 40-60% of the time across engagements.
