
Position Overview
Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. The position is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth. The role partners with the GM to manage Team Members, has expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, and can source parts from multiple sources including special order, FDO, and second source. The role also directs drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This is a full‑time position.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for Team Members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are met
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability across internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); build strong relationships with customers, peers and management
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Basic math accuracy
Use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, including market opportunities and customer prioritization
Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience That Sets a Commercial Parts Pro Up for Success A minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred.
Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions.
Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks and working together to achieve goals.
Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE Certification Preferred, but Not Required.
Physical Demands Predominantly walking or standing; requires the ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lifts or moves up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, and depth vision.
Work Environment Typically inside but occasionally outside; exposed to weather, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
Compensation USD 19.95–21.95 per hour.
