
Job Summary
Professional level sales position responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the GM to manage team members, requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, and the ability to source from numerous suppliers. This full‑time role directs drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for Team Members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and development needs for Team Members
Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are met
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Maintain commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Skills
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics (engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.)
Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
Understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide; whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
Use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively
Strong organizational skills
Understand commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Experience & Education A minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred; proven sales ability with experience fulfilling customer transactions; formal or informal experience leading teams and achieving goals. High school diploma or GED required. ASE certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands Predominantly walking or standing; ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Includes close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus.
Work Environment Mostly indoors, occasionally outdoors and exposed to weather. Exposure to moving parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration, moderate noise.
Commission Structure Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
