The Administration Division of the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical professional to join its Asset Management Section. This position is well suited for a critical thinker who can manage multiple work processes simultaneously, identify opportunities for operational improvement, and remain highly motivated in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Under general supervision, the Asset Management Analyst performs a broad range of analytical and technical duties related to the full lifecycle management of departmental assets and equipment. The incumbent supports inventory control, accountability, and reporting functions to ensure compliance with State policies and CDSS procedures.

Working Conditions Work location is conveniently located about two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance of the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmers’ markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building also has easy access to I‑5, Highway 50, and Highway 80. The position is eligible for hybrid work in accordance with Governor’s Executive Order N‑22‑25 and CA Government Code Section 14200. Telework schedules may change and are subject to reevaluation. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office and attend in‑person events as necessary. Telework does not alter terms, conditions, or compliance requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Regular commute is not compensable.
