This is a key role within a highly successful and growing agency known for its commitment to honesty, integrity, and a strategic, consultative approach. The Account Manager serves as the primary contact for an assigned book of business, delivering expert guidance on coverage and policy structures. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with a deep understanding of the commercial market who thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on exceptional client service.

Job Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of commercial business, ensuring prompt, professional, and comprehensive service for all accounts.

Strategic Consulting:

Anticipate client needs and provide customized insurance solutions that align with their business risk profiles.

Account Servicing:

Build and maintain strong relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving complex issues, and offering expert guidance on insurance coverage and protection.

Rate-Making & Underwriting:

Apply technical knowledge of rate-making and underwriting practices to manage client policies and coordinate successful annual renewals.

Operational Efficiency:

Coordinate with internal team members to maintain efficient workflows and solve daily operational challenges within the agency.

Market Interaction:

Utilize knowledge of various insurance markets and rating procedures to secure optimal solutions for clients.

Education & Licensing

Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license is REQUIRED.

Professional designations such as CIC, CRM, ARM, CPCU, or AAI are preferred.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience

specifically servicing commercial insurance accounts is required.

Proven track record of managing client relationships and navigating diverse insurance markets.

Skills & Technology

Technical:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Software:

Experience with

Applied TAM

software is highly preferred.

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on consultative professionalism.
