About the Role Metro Mechanical is hiring experienced HVAC service technicians in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a full‑time role with steady year‑round work and a company vehicle. You’ll work independently on commercial HVAC and light refrigeration systems, leading service calls and mentoring junior techs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems

Diagnose HVAC system issues and perform preventive maintenance

Lead service calls and act as a resource for junior technicians

Communicate effectively with customers and team members

Participate in on‑call rotation and handle emergency service calls

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday

Rotating on‑call schedule

Qualifications Experience

5+ years of HVAC experience (commercial preferred)

Experience mentoring junior technicians

Skills

Customer Service: Expert

Equipment Install: Expert

Troubleshooting: Expert

Licenses & Certifications

EPA – Universal (HVAC)

NATE

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Technical/other training or better in HVAC or related field

Other Requirements

Valid driver’s license with clean MVR

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Strong work ethic, technical skills, and leadership qualities
