Job Description The Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience both at the cash line and over the phone, while contributing to the financial wellness of our customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line and handle teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.)
Answer customer inquiries about products, services, and basic servicing requests (cards, PINs, checks, etc.)
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, staying informed about their banking needs
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM)
Assist branch teammates with basic tasks to resolve customer issues
Refer customers to specialized internal teams when more complex needs arise
Follow all bank processes, laws, and regulations; support branch goals and customer outcomes
Make outbound calls using lead lists to educate customers on new technology and support financial goals
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Availability to work Saturdays as needed
Cash handling and teller transaction skills
Effective communication in person, by phone, and electronically
Frequent computer use (typing, monitoring)
Ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 pounds
Preference
One year of banking, cash‑handling, or customer service experience
Skills & Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines
Support customers with digital banking offerings
Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Manage large sums of cash
Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills
Position Type Full time
Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific; the target information for the region is $35,640.99 USD (minimum) and $42,192.00 USD (median). Eligible for incentive pay under a formulaic incentive plan.
