Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, providing guidance, timely resolution, and a high level of customer service Administer and support core HR programs and initiatives, including open enrollment, performance management cycles, compliance training, merit reviews, PTO administration, benefits support, and HR communications. Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers to foster trust and effective communication Partner with managers to support employee relations matters, including coaching, policy interpretation, performance concerns, and investigations, in collaboration with HR leadership Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders to foster trust, engagement, and clear communication Manage and execute key HR processes such as onboarding, probationary reviews, job and compensation changes, leaves of absence (including FMLA and other statutory leaves), flexible work arrangements, and offboarding Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience Maintain data integrity and timely updates across HR systems (UKG) covering Core HR, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Recruiting, Reporting, and Absence modules Prepare, analyze, and present HR metrics and reports such as headcount, turnover, compliance audits, and workforce trends to support decision-making Advise employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and consistency Ensure employee records and documentation meet company, legal, and regulatory requirements, maintaining audit readiness and data privacy standards Required Skills
3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or progressively responsible HR support role Solid understanding of HR practices across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, compliance, benefits, and performance management Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems) Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, preferably within manufacturing, government contracting, or regulated industries Desired Skills
Experience supporting multi-state HR compliance and employment laws Knowledge of benefits administration and/or payroll processes Experience supporting audits, government compliance, or regulated environments Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., office supplies, files) Must be able to maintain focus and attention to detail in a busy office environment Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
