This position is located at Naval Air Station North Island on Coronado at Lowry Theater within Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department in Navy Region Southwest.
Open to the public, military spouses, and veterans.
Provides mobile snack bar service to all active duty, reservists, retirees, dependents & their sponsored guests that do not have access to a food service facility. Operates a mobile canteen unit and sells a variety of fast‑food items and a limited variety of retail items such as candy. May prepare requisitions for supplies, equipment and daily resale and consumable items, keeps supplies neatly displayed and stowed; maintains adequate stock at all times. Maintains inventory and operating records and required reports. Serves customers, collects money, makes change, and is responsible for own change fund. Prepares Daily Salesperson's Cash Report. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Must meet federal suitability requirements including successful completion of background investigation.
Work may require sitting, walking, long periods of standing, bending and lifting of moderately heavy items up to 40 pounds without assistance and occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance.
Work schedule is flexible and will vary as required by the needs of the program to include night, weekend, and holiday shifts as well as split days off.
Qualifications A minimum of one year of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the work of the position. Knowledge and understanding of food service policies and procedures. Basic knowledge of business mathematics, and cash handling.
Education This position is not in a positive education series.
