Your Mission
As a Tool Crib Attendant (2nd shift), you will provide standard and specialized tooling to personnel in coordination with future jobs and tooling life schedules. You will provide quick-response replacement tooling for unexpected needs and maintain the tooling inventory from receipt, issuance, and return by performing the following duties.

Tool Optimization and Maintenance:
Performing sharpening and modifications of cutting tools keeps them in optimal condition, enhancing machining process quality and efficiency. Regularly inspecting tools for defects and wear maintains their quality and longevity, ensuring reliable performance. Pre-setting tools for immediate use speeds up setup times for machining operations, while efficiently locating misplaced tools minimizes delays and maintains an organized, efficient workflow. Blueprint Interpretation:
Reading and interpreting blueprints accurately is crucial for understanding job requirements and providing the right tools, ensuring that projects proceed without delays. Inventory Management:
Keeping the inventory accurate in Zoller TMS ensures that tools are always available when needed and helps in planning future tool requirements, minimizing production interruptions. Preparing periodic inventory or maintaining perpetual inventory of tools and equipment ensures that the tool crib operates efficiently and is well-stocked. Vendor Coordination:
Getting quotes from vendors and placing purchasing requests in SAP ensures that the best tools and materials are procured at competitive prices, managing costs effectively. 5S Initiatives:
Maintaining 5S initiatives within the workplace promotes a clean, organized, and safe working environment, which enhances overall efficiency and productivity. What you should be good at
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED. At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with tooling for metal cutting operations involving CNC and manual turning, milling, grinding, and various other equipment.
Language Skills:
Read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Additionally, you should be able to present information effectively in both one-on-one and small group settings and write short correspondence clearly and effectively in English.
Mathematical Skills:
Understand basic arithmetic, like adding and subtracting decimals. You should be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately. You also need to be proficient in both English and Metric units, including conversions between them.
Computer Skills:
Intermediate computer skills. Proficient use of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
