Consumer Sales Representative - Retail
Job Locations: US-ID-Nampa
Pay Range: $17.66 - $26.48 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000
Hourly Rate: $19.88 with Uncapped Commission!
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am‑6pm and rotating Saturday 8am‑5pm
Work Location: 180 Caldwell Blvd Ste 180, Nampa, ID 83651

Responsibilities
Deliver Sales & Retention Results through Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Exceed or Meet Monthly Sales Goals of Strategic Products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and Internet Content through face‑to‑face and over the phone interactions. Use negotiation & interpersonal communication skills to prevent customer churn, ask lifestyle questions, and promote services that fulfill customer needs.
Moves/Adds/Changes/Disconnect Inquiries: Delight and retain existing customer base by consistently providing exceptional customer service on all billing inquiries, seasonal service requests, toll inquiries, and other miscellaneous inquiries. Consult with customers on these service calls to identify technology needs and offer TDS product solutions.
Cash Management Procedures – closely follow cash management procedures to assure accuracy in all cash and payment handling from customer to deposit.
Resolve construction related issues by creating and completing Triage tickets.
Keep current with Promotions, Products and Technology necessary to exceed or meet Sales and Retention goals. Attend work regularly, arrive on time, and maintain punctuality to support customer needs.
Handle retail office responsibilities such as restocking supplies, unlocking and locking office, maintaining office cleanliness, participating in community events, and coordinating space use with other departments.
Special Projects as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
1+ years’ experience in a sales or customer service role.
2+ years computer experience (may include order applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel).
Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines to meet business needs.
Other Qualifications
6+ months experience in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple tasks and detailed data.
Ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
Demonstrate strong negotiation, selling and closing skills in reselling the service to customers requesting disconnect.
Handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment.
Understanding of the telecommunication industry and its products and services.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
Problem‑solving skills (customer complaints, competitive issues).
Successful completion of classroom training required.
Demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment.
Able to work overtime with advance notice.
Ability to work a shift ending at 8:00 p.m. CST and a potential Saturday rotation.
Experience with escalated customer issues and problem resolution both over the phone and face‑to‑face.
