2026 Tapestry Apprenticeship Program Overview: Tapestry is committed to equity, inclusion, and diversity. Our 12-month Design Apprentice Program gives recent graduates or early career individuals the opportunity to collaborate with design teams and learn all aspects of the design process. Training and learning sessions provide exposure to leaders and a big-picture understanding of our business. Apprentices may present a final project to design leaders across all brands.
Work structure: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office). Location: New York City Hudson Yards Office. Compensation: $26/hour. Benefits/Perks: product discounts, sample sales, apprentice educational & social events.

Primary Purpose The Design Apprentice, Retail & Outlet Print will help initiate concepts each season that are fashion-driven, reflective of the creative vision and brand aesthetic. You will work in a dynamic, creative environment collaborating with designers and cross-functional partners in the business.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Design to...
Create new and on-brand prints for multiple categories and genders within the Retail & Outlet lines, through original work or purchased files; clean and color separate artwork and create repeats
Ensure alignment with design and brand vision
Create CADs of prints for in-house presentations
Create mill-ready art packages for multiple categories and labels within the house (both sampling and production)
Work proactively according to development calendar to stay ahead of timelines
Responsible for CAD work (textile, pattern layouts) from concept to finish, including all edits/changes
Research and design for Soft Accessories collection, from initial concept to production
Manage workload from conception to production
Ensure digital presentation boards are updated with the most accurate art and information
Partner with cross-functional departments within design, product development, materials, merchandising, and legal

1+ years related work/internship experience in design; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Education in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
Excellent hand sketching/painting and CAD skills
Highly-developed taste level and excellent color sense
Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop; Ned Graphics a plus
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change
Extremely organized and detail-oriented – excellent calendar adherence and ownership
Understanding and enthusiasm for the brand
