Job Overview We have an exciting opportunity to work as a rotational Senior Physiotherapist within our Neurosciences and Stroke team. This is a full‑time, permanent position forming part of our neuro and stroke rotations, which include acute stroke, stroke rehabilitation, community stroke, neurosciences and acute spines. There may also be additional temporary posts available across Freeman Hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Provide a high standard of physiotherapy care (assessment, treatment and advice) to a complex patient group in specialty settings.
If applicable to the role, participate in the Senior Physiotherapy general rotational scheme, working across the Trust in a range of clinical settings, some of which are regional specialities.
Knowledge Essential Criteria
Advanced knowledge of a range of medical conditions and their impact on patient’s functional abilities.
Sound knowledge of the physiotherapy process.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of undertaking research and audit projects.
Knowledge of current NHS issues e.g. NHS’s Improving Working Lives.
Skills Essential Criteria
Organisation and time management skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Commitment to personal and service development.
Ability to present information, written and orally in a clear and logical manner.
Desirable Criteria
IT skills.
Presentation skills.
Specialist treatment skills e.g. manual therapy.
Experience Essential Criteria
NHS experience in a rotational post providing a broad range of experience across the core areas of physiotherapy.
Experience of working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in a senior post.
Experience of working with patients with physical health problems.
Qualifications Essential Criteria
Degree or equivalent Diploma in Physiotherapy.
State Registered with Health & Care Professions Council.
Desirable Criteria
Member of Chartered Society Of Physiotherapists.
Involvement in relevant CSP Clinical Special Interest groups.
