Neuroscience Sales Specialist – Asheville, NC
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine invites applications for a Neuroscience Sales Specialist to support Intra‑Cellular Therapies, a Johnson & Johnson company dedicated to central nervous system (CNS) disorders. The role focuses on driving sales performance, engaging healthcare professionals, and expanding market presence in the Asheville region. Key Responsibilities
Drive territory sales forecasts and performance within assigned geographic areas by contacting HCP offices and community centers both in‑person and virtually. Apply budgets strategically to achieve territory objectives while customizing discussions to meet customer needs in an ethical manner. Maintain understanding of local market, practice structures, and key influencers; share insights with internal stakeholders. Provide input for resource allocation decisions and identify programs/resources suitable for each customer, practice, or system. Collaborate with Regional Business Manager to develop a local business plan that ensures all business objectives are met. Leverage formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of strategic plans. Coordinate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and best‑practice sharing. Maintain accurate administrative records of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communications, sample and expense reporting. Complete all required training within established timelines. Qualifications
2+ years of sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical devices; 3+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred. Experience launching or selling antipsychotic, bi‑polar, or similar CNS products highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record required. Strong commitment to patient‑centricity and improve the lives of patients and caregivers. High integrity and adherence to company compliance policies. Self‑motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial drive with excellent decision‑making judgment. Track record of learning and adapting to evolving environments (e.g., Covid‑19) and overcoming obstacles. Agility in virtual/telemedicine environments and data/metrics‑based performance analysis. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences. Domestic travel and overnight travel may be required. Salary & Benefits
