Summary The Assistant Community Engagement Manager (ACEM) for Verrado Assembly advances the mission of the Verrado Community Life Team by fostering unique opportunities for residents to engage and connect, creating a sense of community and lifestyle that sets Verrado apart from any other place to live. The ACEM builds a rich expression of community life and a sustainable legacy community by bringing residents, neighbors, non‑profits, employers, and others together.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a dynamic multi‑faceted community engagement strategy reflective of community brand, vision and culture.
Plan, implement and oversee social, recreation, and educational programming on a seasonal calendar, including summer youth, teen and family events, and lifelong learning opportunities.
Launch and manage event registration systems, monitor registration data and ensure supplies support anticipated attendance.Lead the execution of events and activities onsite, making necessary decision‑making and managing staff; events may run early morning to midnight.
Document service processes, engagement trends, and community brand performance.
Assist with day‑to‑day office upkeep, supplies, equipment, vehicle servicing and general administrative needs.
Develop and implement a resident welcome program that builds genuine connections with every new homeowner.
Oversee all Ambassadors: scheduling, training, budgeting hours, financial oversight and leading ambassador‑led events.
Contribute to community strategic plans, budgets, and signature events each year.
Coordinate the annual communications calendar, support content curation and production of community collateral, including weekly e‑blasts and website content pages.
Maintain community engagement records in SharePoint and manage vendor relationships, execute contracts, meet accounting and insurance requirements, and submit final invoices to the Director for processing.
Support the engagement team with special projects, tasks and events as needed.
Qualifications

Strong management, organizational, project management and leadership skills.
Flexibility, adaptability and ability to foster a collaborative environment.
Excellent verbal, written, personal communication and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, database management and web CMS platforms.
Experience with social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and promotional messaging.
Minimum 3 years progressive work in community building, event planning and volunteer program management.
College degree in recreation, hospitality or a related field preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays; must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Capacity to lift or move up to 30 pounds and be on feet for extended periods.
Work Environment
Flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, some holidays.
Comfortable working outdoors and on feet for extended periods.
Provide one’s own transportation for off‑site programs and partner meetings.
Frequent lifting or moving up to 30 pounds.
