Business Development Specialist (Houston)
Hybrid (3 days in‑office, 2 days remote) full‑time position reporting to the Assistant Director of Business Development in our Houston office.
Base pay range : $95,000 – $120,000 per year.
About the Role The Specialist / Sr. Specialist will support a wide range of business development and marketing initiatives for the Houston office, working closely with senior BD leadership and colleagues across the U.S. and internationally. This role touches nearly every aspect of practice and client development, including:
Preparing pitches, proposals, and RFP responses
Coordinating Chambers and other award/directory submissions
Supporting client‑facing events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives
Managing CRM data and regional mailing lists
Drafting and updating marketing collateral, attorney bios, and practice descriptions
Conducting client and market research
Assisting with partner and counsel BD planning
Collaborating with BD teams across multiple offices
Compensation
Business Development Specialist – $90,000–105,000
Senior Business Development Specialist – $100,000–120,000
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of BD/marketing experience in professional services (law firm experience preferred)
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and project‑management abilities
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment
High attention to detail and sound judgment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and an aptitude for learning new tools
